WILFRED JOSEPH MURRAY Wilfred Joseph Murray Sr., 66, died Saturday night at a local hospital following a long illness. He was born in Fairfield May 24, 1903, the son of Alfred and Rose (Dyon) Murray. He was at one time employed in the Corinna Woolen Mills and in the Eddie Limerick Garage before opening his own garage. For the past 26 years, he has been employed by the Fayscott Landis Machine Corp. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He is survived by his widow, Stella (Huff) Murray of the French Mills Road; his mother of West Winterport; three daughters, Mrs. Loren (Margaret) Chabot, Dexter, Mrs. Harry (Pauline) Getchell of West Cumberland, Mrs. Vaughn (Charlotte) Wright of Scarborough; eight sons, Wilfred Jr. and Jerry of Sangerville, Richard at Ft. Gordon, Ga., Kenneth, Floyd and Melvin all of Garland; Darrell of Dexter, Royce of Londonderry, N. H., one stepson, Kenneth White of Clinton, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Sybelena Lang, Mrs. Florence Gore, of West Winterport, Mrs. Ida Carvelle of Hampden Highlands, Mrs. Dorice Rowe of Massachusetts; four brothers, Alfred of Corinna, Henry of Dover-Foxcroft, Arthur of Hampden Highlands, Raymond of Newport; 24 grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Rosary was said at the Crosby Funeral Home Monday at 7 p.m. Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Lemieux officiating. Burial was in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
