Pfc. DONALD A. MORRILL KILLED IN ACTION Mrs. Percie Morrill received a telegram from the War Department Monday morning telling her of the death of her youngest son, Pfc. Donald A. Morrill, who was killed in action in Belgium, January 15, on his twentieth birthday. Pfc. Morrill entered the service June 8, 1943 and trained at Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky. He was also with a Military Police Battalion at Nashville, Tenn. and went overseas the first of last November with the 289th Infantry regiment. Donald A. Morrill was born in Dexter, January, 15, 1925, the son of the late Daniel and Percie Jewell Morrill. The family moved to East Corinth when he was a boy and he received his education in the East Corinth schools. He returned to Dexter about four years ago, and before entering the service was employed as carder at the Crawford Mill. Besides his mother, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Kenneth, (Mary) Stafford in Bath; three brothers, Sgt. John Morrill, in the U. S. Marine Corps at Parris Island, S. C.; Cpl. Charles Morrill, somewhere in France; and Kenneth Morrill, in Mahopoc, N. Y.; two grandmothers, Mrs. Daniel Stone and Mrs. Alice Jewell of Dexter; an aunt, Mrs. Ada Rowell of Rowley, Mass.; and four uncles, Thomas Morrill of Neponset, Mass., Edward , Archie and William Morrill of Dexter. note: photo accompanied article
