Obituary
ROY TOWLE SR. Roy H. Towle Sr., 77, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dexter, Nov. 6, 1890, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Towle. He lived most of his life here and worked as a machinist at Fay and Scott Machine Shop, and then worked for about 12 years at the garage owned by the late Ralph Wakefield. Later he had his own machine shop and also worked as a carpenter. Surviving are three sons, Roy H. Jr., and Holman R., both of Dexter and Robert C. of Lyndonville, Vt.; one step-son, Orville M. Seeley of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. James (Emma) Walters of Florida and Mrs. Lois Cookson of Dexter; 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Crosby Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Philip Mather officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
