Obituary
DR. JOHN E. LAROE Dr. John E. LaRoe, 70, died late Sunday night at Plummer Memorial Hospital in Dexter following a long illness. He was born Sept. 30, 1897, in Trenton, N. J., the son of Marcus and Laura Davis LaRoe. He attended Higgins Classical Institute and was graduated from the University of Maryland where he received a doctor of dentistry degree. He first practiced in Dunellen, N. J. for 15 years, coming to Dexter where he practiced until retirement a few years ago. He served in the U. S. Navy in World War One. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Brittain LaRoe, two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Woodard of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Nina Millett of Marine, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. E. M. Kitchen and Mrs. Mathias Palmer of Baltimore, Md., and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Crosby Funeral Home here on Wednesday. The Rev. Philip Mather of the First Baptist Church officiating.
