Obituary	MAURICE L. CARR Maurice L. Carr, 75, died suddenly Tuesday evening at the home of his son Clayton on the Garland rd. after a long period of failing health. Born in Ripley Oct. 20, 1892, the son of Charles and Gertrude Magoon, he had lived most of his life in Dexter where he engaged in farming. Previous to his retirement in 1960, he was employed for six years at the Snowflake Canning Co. in Corinna. He belonged to the Dexter Grange. He is survived by his wife Jessie (Page); four sons, Lewis E. and Clayton of Dexter; Merle of Augusta; Dennis of Corinna; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Newbert and Mrs. Charlene Breton of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Fronie Johnson of Garland and Mrs. Edith Taylor, Portsmouth, N. H.; 17 grandchildren, four great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home this afternoon from 2 - 4 and tonight from 7 - 9. Services will be held 2 p. m. on Friday at the Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. John FJ McNally officiating.
