Obituary
MRS. GLADYS FLANDERS Mrs. Gladys P. Flanders, 72, died Wednesday in a Bangor Nursing home after a long illness. Born in Parkman, Oct. 29, 1895, she was the daughter of Jefferson and Jeanette Palmer. The widow of Ray Flanders, she was a resident of Old Town, and former resident of Sangerville. She was a member and past state president of Gold Star Mothers, a member of the usuie Carr Chapter, O.E.S. and a member of the V. F. W. Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Roland Flanders, Old Town and Haold Flanders, Hudson, Mass.; two brothers, Glyndon Palmer, Sangerville, and Cecil Palmer, Dexter; one sister, Mrs. Doris Hamilton, Dexter; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Baillargeon Funeral Home, Old Town with the Rev. Howard Benson of the Old Town Methodist Church officiating. The Gold Star Mothers of Old Town conducted their memorial service. Committal services were held at Sangerville Village Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Brayton officiating, Scott Flanders Post and Auxiliary also held services.
