Obituary	Funeral Services Held For Herbert E. Irvin Dexter's Oldest Citizen Herbert E. Irvin, 97, died Saturday night at a local hospital. Dexter's oldest man, he held the Sunshine Club gold headed cane. He was born at Power Hill, N.B. Sept. 4, 1870, the son of John E. and Mary (Dinsmore) Irvin. He had been a resident of Dexter for about 56 years. He was a carpenter by trade. He is survived by three sons, Merle of Somerville, Mass.; Harold of Lewiston and John of Dexter; a daughter Mrs. Ruth Fogg of Cos Cob, Conn.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. Lucien Mandeville officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
