MRS. VICTORIA LANDRY Mrs. Victoria Landry, 83, died Wednesday morning at a local nursing home following a long illness. She was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, June 9, 1884, the daughter of John and Melvina (Turgeon) Langlois. She was the widow of Paul J. Landry, who died in 1953. She had lived in Dexter most of her life having come from Canada in 1917. She was a member of St. Anne's Sodality, a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella and a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, Albert J. and Horace P. Landry, both of Dexter; Clifford E. Landry of East Hartford, Conn.; three daughters, Mrs. Jeannette Landry of Sturgis, So. Dakota, Mrs. Simone Pooler of Colon, Michigan and Mrs. Rose Burda of Auburn, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Eva Darien, Sherbrooke, Canada; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Requiem High Mass will be sung at St. Anne's Catholic Church Saturday morning at nine o'clock, the Rev. Father Lucien Mandeville officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery later in the spring.
