Obituary	MRS. CATHERINE IRVIN Mrs. Catherine J. Irvin, 98, one of Dexter's oldest residents, and wife of Herbert E. Irvin, died in the Plummer Hospital Tuesday following a short illness. She was born at Keniston, P.E.I. Feb. 10, 1870 the daughter of Catherine (Gillis) and John Baker and moved to Dexter from Bangor 55 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church, a charter member of St. Anne's Sodality, and a member of the Good Will Society. Surviving are her husband of Dexter; three sons, Merle A. of Somerville, Mass., Harold of Lewiston, and John E. of Dexter; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Fogg of Cos Cob, Conn.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The Sodality recited Rosary Wednesday in the Crosby Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at St. Anne's Catholic Church this morning (Thursday), the Rev. Father Lucien Mandeville officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery later in the spring.
