Obituary	MRS. CLARA BRIDGES Mrs. Clara Lulu Bridges, 84, widow of Fred Hersey Bridges, died Friday morning at a Hollywood, Fla., hospital. She was born at Exeter, March 1, 1883, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Marietta A. (Foss) Russell. She attended Exeter schools and graduated from Dexter High School in 1902. She had resided at Exeter until 1951, then she and her husband spent five years in California and Nevada. Returning to Wells, they operated a market garden and tourist accommodations during the summer months and wintered at their home in Orlando, Fla. After her husband's death in 1941, she was employed for a number of winters at a Hollywood Beach hotel. Since her retirement in 1962 she has made her winter home with a niece, Mrs. Doris (Bridges) Aiken, and she has spent her summers with a sister, Mrs. Marian Erma Bridges at Dexter. She was a member of the Linwood, N. J. Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Wassookeag Chapter, OES, of Dexter and was also a 50-year Grange member. Surviving besides her sister are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services with OES services were held Sunday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Gordon Parlin of the Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
