Obituary	PERCY MELVIN Percy Melvin, 55, died Sunday morning in Monerovia, Calif., following a long illness. He was born Feb. 1, 1912 in Dexter, son of Ernest F. and Isabelle Skillins Melvin. He attended schools in Dexter, and lived most of his life in Exeter and Corinna area. He worked as a maintenance man at the Baxter and Snowflake Canning Co. in Corinna. He also did carpenter work in Corinna. For the past five years, he worked for the Simonds Abrasive Co., Delmonte, Calif. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Beverly Cox of Rumford; one brother, Ernest Skillins of Bangor; one sister, Mrs. Merle Fowler and a nephew, both of Monerovia, California; several aunts, uncles and cousini. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Corinna. Burial was in the Exeter Center Cemetery.
