Obituary
DANIEL M. CLUKEY Daniel M. Clukey, 69, died Sunday at his residence at 71 Armington st., Cranston, R. I. A former resident of Dexter, he was born in Sangerville, March 3, 1799, the son of Peter and Serena (Gifford) Clukey. When in Dexter, he was employed as a painter. He was a Past Grand Knight of Cardinal Mercier Council, Knights of Columbus of Dexter, and the fourth degree knight of the Cranston Knights of Colunbus. He is survived by his wife, Flora (Pullyard) Clukey of Cranston, four sons, Hillary and Peter of Cranston; Patrick of Warwick, and Thomas of Providence; seven daughters, Mrs. Jeremiah (McCarthy) of Springfield Mass., Mrs. Robert Wintle of Dexter, Mrs. Lawrence Vigue of Farmington, Maine, Mrs. C. Dean Bascom, Mrs. William Byers, Mrs. Paul Mahoney, Mrs. John V. Carney, all of Warwick; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Ronco and Mrs. Laura Archibald, both of California; three brothers, Francis of California, Rudolph of Sangerville, and Leo of Oregon; 30 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with the Rev. Lucien Mandeville officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
