JULIAN S. CLOUTIER Julian S. Cloutier, 51, died unexpectedly at his home in Fairfield early Saturday morning. He was born in Dexter Oct. 21, 1916, the son of James and Emma (Giles) Cloutier. He had been a Waterville resident for 27 years. Mr. Cloutier was named manager of Cottle's Market in 1964, after 35 years with the First National Stores, including 27 as manager of the local supermarket. He was educated in Dexter and Fairfield schools and was graduated from Lawrence High School in 1933. He was a member of the Waterville Lions CIub, the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Parish and the Fourth Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus of Waterville. He is survived by his wife, Marcella Cote Stone Cloutier of Fairfield; a daughter, Ann E. Cloutier of Waterville; several step children and grandchildren, also nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Members of the Fourth Degree Assembly Knights of Columbus conducted memorial services at the funeral home. Attending the funeral services were his aunts Miss Pauline Cioutier and Mrs. Minnie Pelletier, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ambrose and Paul Giles.
