Obituary	ATWOOD H. PRESCOTT Atwood H. Prescott, a longtime resident of Dexter, died Monday morning at a local hospital following a long illness. He was 85 years old. A North New Portland native, he was born Feb. 26, 1882, son of the late Henry A. and Emma (Webb) Prescott, married the former Edna C. Libby, Sept. 25, 1907 was a local businessman many years, retiring several years ago. Surviving are three sons, Clarence, Howard, and Maynard; a daughter, Miss Louise Prescott, all of Dexter,; a half-sister, Mrs. Irene Mayo of Portland; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. Gordon Parlin, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
