Obituary	WILLIAM ELDERKIN William Henry Elderkin, 75, husband of the former Flora Clement, died at his home in North Dexter, Monday. He was born Nov. 22, 1891, in Nova Scotia, the son of James and Marjorie (Payne) Elderkin. Elderkin was a veteran of World War I and served in the France and Belguim areas. He was a former member of Poulliot Seavey Post, American Legion of Dexter and the North Dexter Grange. Mr. and Mrs. Elderkin had recently observed their 50th wedding anniversary. Elderkin was employed for many years as foreman of the Fay Scott Machine Shop of Dexter before his retirement 10 years ago. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Maynard W. of Dexter and Harvey H. of Newport; one daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Carr of North Dexter; one sister, May Clement of Dexter; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Gordon Parlin of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Pingree Cemetery at Parkman.
