Obituary
EDWARD J. DUGAS Edward J. Dugas, 58, died suddenly yesterday morning, (Wednesday) at a local hospital. He was born in Topsham October 28, 1908, the son of Alexander and Amanda (Fregeau) Dugas. He had lived in Dexter for 22 years where he was employed in various woolen mills in the area and for the last 12 years had been overseer of the Dye House at Crown Alexander where he worked last Friday. He was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Skowhegan, past president of the local Overseers Association and a member of the national group. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Alice (Lagasse) Dugas; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Stevenson of Syracuse, N.Y., Barbara Ann, a student at the U. of M.; one son, Edward (Billy) of Aroostook State College, Presque Isle; one brother, Lawrence of Solon; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Requiem Mass will be said at St. Anne's Catholic Church Saturday morning at 10:30, Rev. Fr. Mandeville officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in a Skowhegan Cemetery.
