Obituary
William H. Piper The death of William H. Piper, 80, occurred January 9 at the home of his niece, Mrs. Harry Gould in Ripley. Mr. Piper was born in Eastbrook, the son of the late Donald and Niomi Seavey Piper. He went to Ripley at the age of twelve years, where he lived with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Cotton Seavey. Later he drove a mail route in the vicinity of Garland and Charleston. For many years he lived on the Dover Road in Dexter. Besides his niece, Mrs. Gould, he is survived by a niece, Mrs. Harold Giles of Eastbrook; two nephews, Clifford Piper of Howland and James Piper of Eastbrook and several dstant relalives. Funeral services were held in Ripley with Rev. Walter A. Towle, officiating and interment was in the Ferndale cemetery.
