Obituary	Mrs. Etta E. Bailey Mrs. Etta E. Bailey, 80, died Friday afternoon January 5, at her home on Main street after suffering a shock, about six weeks ago. She was born in Charleston, Maine June 6, 1864, the son of Ansell and Vienna Bridgham Dunning. In early life she was united in marriage to Frederick Augustus Bailey and after 1896 lived in Dexter except for several years when she owned a home in Malden, Mass. Mr. Bailey died in May 1906. Mrs. Bailey conducted a millinery business for many years and for, a long time did much dressmaking. She had been in excellent health until her last illness and was a remarkably keen business woman. Possessed of a pleasing personality, she won many friends in her years of contact with public. She was a member of the First the Universalist church, Martha Washington Rebekah lodge, Martha Washing ton Sewing club, Fidelity club, the Dexter Grange and the Townsend club. She was also a member of Crystal Temple Pythian Sisters and the Women's Relief Corps which have disbanded. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Pendexter of Dexter and Mrs. Ethel DuBuron of Boston; a granddaughter, Mrs. Lois Palmer and a great granddaughter, Miss Patricia Palmer of Dexter, also three nephews. Funeral services were held from the First Universalist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. G. Reardon officiating. Rebekah services were also conducted. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery in the spring. Bearers were George Safford, Dr. H. Stanton Sawyer, A. Q. Thompson and Edgar M. Page. Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Scribner and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Scribner of Charleston; Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Starbird of North Dexter; Mrs. Effie Bailey, Frank Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Starbird and Mrs. Flossie Lambert of Silver's Mills.
