Obituary	MRS. RUTH L. TOWLE Mrs. Ruth Lillian Towle, 53, died suddenly Monday at her home here. Born at Ornevile July 27, 1913, she was the daughter of Howard and Lilly (Caldwell) Smith. She was a member of the Madison VFW Auxiliary and had spent most of her life in the Dexter area. Surviving are her husband John W. Towle of Dexter; three sons, John A. and Dennis B., stationed at Norfolk, Va., Leslie W. of Exeter; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Fish of North Anson, Mrs. Bertha Savage, Mrs. Alice Towle and Mrs. Ellen Towle, all of Dexter; three brothers, James Smith of Garland, Royal Smith of Guilford, Reuben Smith of Dexter; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were to be at the Crosby Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Gordon Parlin, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Garland Cemetery.
