Obituary	WILLARD L. BOWDEN Willard L. Bowden, 76, died late Sunday night at a local hospital following a long illness. He was born at Dexter, May 2, 1890, son of Willard L. and Nellie Bowden. He was employed by the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1942 due to ill health. He was a graduate of Dexter High School. Surviving are a brother, Carroll Bowden of Bangor; several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Crosby Funeral Home, the Rev. Phillip Mather of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
