Obituary	GEORGE W. COOKSON George W. Cookson, 88, died March 1 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after several months' illness. He was born at Harmony Oct. 26, 1877, son of Alfred and Aleva (Kenney) Cookson. Mr. Cookson spent all his life in this area, and was engaged in lumbering and farming. He is survived by his widow, Annie; four sons, Wilbur, LIoyd, and Alston of Cambridge, Everett of Willimantic, Conn.; six daughters, Mrs. Flora Smart, Mrs. Rachel Gilbert of Cambridge, Mrs. Rosalee Tunell, Mrs. Edna Pearl of Dexter, Mrs. Crystal Philbrick of Yalesville, Conn., Mrs. Aleva Gilbert of Meriden, Conn.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Doris Engstrom of Dover-Foxcroft, Mrs. Evelyn Masterman of Rockville, Conn.; a half-brother, Roy Cookson of Dexter; 30 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Neal-Crosby Funeral Home, Guilford, the Rev. Philip Mather of Dexter officiating. Spring burial will be in Pingree Cemetery, Parkman.
