Obituary	MRS. ETHEL E. SPRUCE Mrs. Ethel E. Spruce, 78, widow of Frank Spruce, died last Thursday at a Brewer nursing home after a long illness. She was born at Ellsworth Feb. 5, 1887, daughter of Edward and Mary (Hunt) Haney. She attended Ellsworth public schools and graduated from Ellsworth High School. She graduated from Beals Business College in 1903. She married Frank D. Spruce of Bradley in 1905. Mr. Spruce died in 1951. She lived at Bradley and Old Town for many years. She moved to Dexter in 1928. She was president of the Dexter Woman's Literary Club and for 10 years was clerk of the Sunshine Club, Inc., at Dexter. She was an honorary member of the club at the time of her death. Surviving are three grandsons, and one granddaughter of Hialeah, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday at Craig Funeral Home, Old Town, the Rev. Lewis Gesner of Bradley officiating. Interment will be in Bradley Cemetery in springtime.
