Obituary
GRACE E. POOLER Miss Grace E. Pooler, 86, a former Dexter resident and retired school teacher died Tuesday in Waterville. Born in East Wilton August 9, 1879, the daughter of Charles E. and Anna (Moar) Pooler, she moved to Dexter at an early age. She taught here and was principal for 38 years at Pleasant St. School. For many years she was organist at The First Universalist Church. She acted as House Mother for ten years at a Boston University Dormitory for foreign women. For the past 11 years she had made her home in Oakland. She was a member of Rebecca Weston Chapter, D.A.R. and of the Oakland Tuesday Club. She is survived by a nephew Harley Mairs of Oakland. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wheeler's Funeral Home in Oakland on 125 Church Street with the Rev. Paul Kelley, pastor of All Souls Universalist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Dexter.
