Obituary	DEATH TAKES 'WES' RICHARDS Westley C. Richards, 72, died Wednesday at a Lake Worth, Florida Hospital where he was taken, following an ill turn. Born at Guilford, November 11, 1893, he was the son of Nelson W. and Rose T. Richards. He attended Dexter schools and was employed as a letter carrier at the Dexter Post Office for over 30 years, retiring in 1954. A veteran of World War I, he served on the Mexican border and in France. He was a former member of Poulliot Seavey Post, American Legion. He belonged to the Methodist Church. A member of all branches of the Odd Fellows, he joined Plymouth Odd Fellows Lodge in 1919 and was serving as treasurer of that organization at the time of his death. He was a past District Deputy Grand Master and had served as Grand Marshall of the Grand Encampment of Maine. He was also a member of the Dexter Fish and Game Association. Survivors are a son, Clyde Richards of Dexter and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Day of Corinna. Five grandchildren survive as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church with the Rev. Gordon Parlin officiating.
