CLARENCE P. BEVERLY Clarence P. Beverly, 64, died suddenly Friday at the Plummer hospital. He was born at Machias, Jan. 17, 1900, the son of Walter and Mary Beverly. He had been employed by the Fayscott Landis Machine Corp. as a machinist for over 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War I. Mr. Beverly was a past commander of the Poulliot-Seavey American Legion Post of Dexter and had been a past master and a 40-year member of Penobscot Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Grethell T. Beverly of Dexter; his mother, Mrs. Mary Beverly of Augusta; one daughter, Miss Mary Beverly of Gorham; one son, Deane A. Beverly of South Paris; four brothers, Robert of Bangor, Walter of Baltimore, Md., Elliot, of Newtonville, Mass., and Moulton Beverly of Creswell, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Winnifred Haines of Augusta and Mrs. Marguerite Miller of Portland; several nieces and nephews. Military services were held Sunday at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Dexter, with the Rev. Gordon F. Parlin officiating. Bearers were Joseph Deag, Romeo Vigue and Arthur Ambrose of Poulliot Seavey Post, American Legion, and Keith Farnham, Donald D. Champeon and Harold Hatch, Masonic Lodge.
