Obituary	GEORGE A. FALCONER Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Shirley Methodist Church for George A. Falconer, 86, husband of Mary (Curtis) Falconer, who died last Fri day at the Dexter hospital after a long period of failing health. The Rev. John Tolman of New Sharon officiated. Interment was in the Greenville Cemetery. He was born Oct. 12, 1878, at Bradalbane, Prince Edward Island, son of Alexander and Bessie (Gunn) Falconer. He was a member of the Shirley Methodist church and Grange, a member of Piscataquis Pomona, Greenville Odd Fellows Lodge and the Monson Masonic Lodge. He was superintendent of the fox ranch and caretaker at Borestone Mountain for nearly 40 years. Over a year ago when the Falconer's home at Shirley was destroyed by fire, he and his wife came to Dexter to live. The couple observed their 50th wedding anniversary in May, 1963. Survivors are his widow; two sons, Robert of Dexter and Trooper Paul Falconer of Pittsfield; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Mills of Dexter, Mrs. Helen Whitmore of Arlington, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Howatt and Miss Flora Falconer, both of Providence, R. I., two brothers, Collin of Vancouver, B.C., and John of Prince Edward Island; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
