Obituary	ERNEST L. WIDDOES Funeral services for Ernest L. Widdoes, 73, of Gardiner, formerly of Dexter, were held at Augusta early Monday afternoon, April 26. Committal was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, later that afternoon. Mr. Widdoes died at the Veterans' Administration Hospital, Togus, Saturday. An investment banker for the P.C. Putnam Co., Inc., of Boston, he was born at Welchville, Dec. 11, 1891, son of Andrew B. and Ella Legg Widdoes. He was a member of the Winthrop Street Universalist Church of Augusta; the Fitzgerald-Cummings Post American Legion, Augusta and Penobscot Lodge, A.F. and A.M. of Dexter. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Bentley Widdoes; a son, Andrew B. of Augusta; a daughter, Mrs. Ernestine Cormier of Gardiner; a brother, Howard V. of Winter Park, Fla.; a sister, Mrs.Harley C. Hyde of Swampscott, Mass.; a grandson, several nieces and nephews.
