Obituary	MRS. AVIS L. WHITE Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, April 14, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Mrs. Avis Lillian White, 52, of Garland who died Saturday at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. James Bunker of Milo officiated. Interment will be in the Milo cemetery. She was born at Milo, Dec. 23, 1912, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hoskins. She was the widow of Stanley White, Sr. Besides her father, Jerry Hoskins of Orono, she is survived by two sons, Stanley, Jr., of Garland and Philip of Corinna; three daughters, Mrs. Marion Murray, Mrs. Clara Lindsay and Mrs. Nancy Provost, all of Garland; four brothers, Roy, Ned and Carl Hoskins of Milo and Roscoe Hoskins, Brunswick; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Downs of Bristol, Conn., Mrs. Lula Grant of Dover-Foxcroft and Mrs. Flossie Gilbert of Milo; 18 grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
