Obituary	MRS. ALICE S. MARDEN Mrs. Alice Sylvia Marden, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edith Tillson, after a long illness. She was born at Lewiston, Jan. 12, 1873, the daughter of Sam and Emmijane (Young) Brooks. She had made her home at Dexter for more than 20 years. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Tillson of Dexter and Mrs. Ethel M. Allen of Bangor; a son, Harry E. Marden of East Millinocket; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchidren. She was a 50-year member the Order of the Eastern Star at Farifield, a member of Women's Christian Temperance Union, and Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge of Dexter. Funeral services were held Monday at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter with the Rev. A. Alan Brough, chaplain at the Fairfield Sanatorium and former pastor of the Dexter First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
