Obituary	GEORGE C. CROCKER George Cleveland Crocker, 76, died Sunday at a Hartland hospital after a short illness. He was born at St. Albans, Sept. 3, 1888, the son of Eleazer G. and Christiana (Cole) Crocker. He and his father founded one of the first farms to specialize in the raising of registered Guernsey cattle, Lakefield Farm. Mr. Crocker was a past master of St. Albans Grange and served on the executive committee of that organization. He was a member of East Somerset Pomona Grange, a member of the board of selectmen and the school committee of St. Albans, and a charter member of Somerset Soil and Conservation District. He married Lura Libby Dec. 4, 1921, who survives him. Other survivors are six children, E. Carl Crocker of Dexter, Mrs. Thelma Smith of Pittsfield, Mrs. Muriel Nelson and Ivan G. Crocker of St. Albans, Mrs. Jeane Martin of West Brattleboro, Vt., and Mrs. Nellie Tibbetts of Newport; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Davis of Skowhegan, Mrs. Marion Nickerson and Mrs. Grace Thomas of Sangerville 23 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the St. Albans Community Church with the Rev. Gordon Parlin of the Dexter Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans.
