Obituary	MRS. CARRIE LANDEEN Mrs. Carrie Landeen, 82, formerly, of Dexter, died Dec. 21 at Lubbock, Texas, after an illness of seven weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter this afternoon, Thursday, with the Rev. Gordon F. Parlin of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place next spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, March 3, 1881, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Stairs. She received her education in the schools of Northern Maine, coming to Dexter in 1917 where she resided until the death of her husband, Samuel J. Landeen, in 1955. She and her elder daughter, Iona, then moved to Lubbock, Tex., to make their home with Mrs. Landeen's niece, Mrs. Charlotte Carter, and nephew, Charles S. Carter. She was a member of the Dexter Methodist Church, and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Washburn, Me. Survivors are two daughters, Miss Iona Landeen of Lubbock and Mrs. Harry Westgate of Dexter; a granddaughter, Mrs. Theodore Smart, and three great-grandchildren, all of Dexter; several nieces and nephews.
