Obituary	FRED A. STAPLES Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Fred D. Staples, 75, who died last Thursday at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a short illness. The Rev. Gordon F. Parlin of the Methodist Church officiated. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. He was born at Parkman, Oct. 1, 1888, son of Charles and Carrie (McDonald) Staples. He had been a resident of Dexter for nearly 50 years, and had been employed by the Town Road Commission. He is survived by a son, Linwood, of Hartland; a brother, Walter, of St. Albans; a half-brother, Eugene Lawrence of St. Albans; a half-sister, Mrs. Sarah Davis of Clinton; several nieces and nephews.
