Obituary	MRS. ELLEN E. LORD Mrs. Ellen Elvira Lord, 89, the widow of Amos Lord, died July 23 in Ripley at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Skillings, after a long period of failing health. She was born at Exeter, Dec. 13, 1873, the daughter of George and Mary (Perry) Lougee. She had been a resident of Ripley for 36 years. Bearers were Ricky Lord of Dexter; Frederick and Robert Thompson, Ellsworth; Clarence Skillings, Ripley; Robert Hardy, St. Albans; and Bernard Lord, Guilford. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Skillings of Ripley and Mrs. Doris Cook of New York City; a son, Clarence Lord of Dexter; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew and several cousins. Funeral services were held Friday at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter with the Rev. Warren Harmon of the Free Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
