T/SGT. ROGER B. WILL1AMS Word was received Monday on the accidental death Sunday of T/Sgt. Roger B. Williams, 32, at a Labrador Air Force Base. The remains will be brought to Pittsfield, and funeral arangements will be announced. Sgt. Williams was born at Dexter in November, 1930, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Williams of Clinton, formerly of Dexter, and was educated in the Dexter schools. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Beattie) Williams of Pittsfield a daughter, Susan; infant son, Scott; his parents, Marvin and Lena (Nadeau) Williams of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Jack Murdock, Jr., of Dexter; paternal grandparents, Mrs. Nellie Conley and Bina Williams; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Nadeau, all of Dexter; uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. (The Eastern Gazette 3-28-1963, p.4) T/SGT. ROGER B. WILLIAMS Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, April 1, at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel at Pittsfield for T/Sgt. Roger B. Williams, 3l, who died March, 24 at Goose Bay, Labrador, of carbon monoxide poisoning in a car according to Air Force authorities. The Rev. Donald Hinckley and the Rev. Peter Kemper officiated. Spring burial will be in the Pittsfield Village cemetery. Masonic services were conducted Sunday evening at the Funeral Chapel. He was born at Dexter, Nov. 21, 1931, son of Marvin and Lena (Nadeau) Williams. He attended N. H. Fay High School at Dexter, and in 1951 enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. Prior to serving at Labrador since April, 1962, he saw service in Germany and France and for several years was stationed at Dow Air Force Base, Bangor. He was a member of Rising Virtue Lodge of Masons, Bangor. Besides his widow, the former Joyce Beattie, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Kim, and a son, Scott Roger, all of Pittsfield; his parents of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Irene Murdock of Dexter; a nephew and two nieces; paternal grandparents, Bina Williams and Mrs. Nellie Conley, both of Dexter; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Nadeau of Dexter.
