Obituary	Fred W. Downing Funeral services for Fred W. Downing were held Friday at the residence in Dexter, the Rev. Walter R. Towle officiating. The bearers were Vinal Getchell, Andrew Nelson, and Harold Grant of Dexter and Samuel Rotell of New York. Interment was in Mount Pleasant cemetery. Mr. Downing was born in Searsmont, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Downing. He moved to Dexter when he was a boy, residing here several years. Later he went to Massachusetts, entering the plumbing business and establishing a business in Brockton, Mass. He lived there until several years ago when he returned to Dexter. He is survived by his wife, Hazel N. Downing and several cousins.
