MRS. JAMES SEAVEY Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie H. Seavey, 84, widow of James Seavey who died last Thursday morning, Aug. 16, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Norman Brawn following a long illness were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Gordon F. Parlin officiated. Bearers were four sons. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. She was born at Brownville, May 2, 1878, daughter of Thornton and Josephine (McPherson) Howard. Mrs. Seavey was a member of the Dexter Methodist Church, the W. S. C. S., Dexter Grange, Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, a charter member of Canton Dexter Auxiliary, Wassookeag Chapter Eastern Star, the Eastern Star Club and the Three-Quarter Century Club. She was also a Gold Star Mother. Surviving are four sons, Howard and Calvin of Newport, Leon of Berwick and William of South Hadley Falls, Mass., four daughters, Mrs. Barbara Sanders of Canaan, Mrs. Amber Hutchins, Mrs. Leona Brawn and Mrs. Myrtle Knowles, all of Dexter; a brother, Leon Howard of Dover-Foxcroft; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
