Obituary	MRS. BERTHA A. HERRICK Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, July 23, at a Gray funeral home for Mrs. Bertha A. Herrick, 84, widow of Fred 0. Herrick, who died at the DeWitt Manor Nursing Home in Gorham Saturday after a short illness. The Rev. Carl Hall officiated. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Mrs. Herrick was born at Dexter, Sept. 19, 1877, daughter of Samuel and Ellen Eldridge. She made her home at Dexter until nine years ago when she moved to Gray to live with her daughter, Mrs. David Barker. She was a graduate of Dexter schools and Beals Business College, Bangor. She was a member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter and its Ladies' Aid. Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, Samuel E. of West Falmouth; and three grandchildren.
