Obituary	MRS. CATHERINE D. CARSLEY Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Mrs. Catherine D. Carsley, 78, widow of Frank Carsley, who died Saturday at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a long period of failing health. The Rev. E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church officiated. Interment was in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Bearers were Dale Carsley of Newport and from Dexter, Robert Fortier, Fred Weaver, Arthur Covel, Clyde Richards and Kenneth Hill. Mrs. Carsley was born at Hansport, N. S., April 2, 1884, daughter of Isaac and Catherine (Fulton) Reid. She had been a resident of Dexter for 50 years. She was a member of the First Universalist Church, Wassookeag Chapter, 0. E. S., and the Eastern Star Club. For a long time prior to her illness, she was employed as a practical nurse at the Plummer Memorial Hospital. Surviving are a son, Sr. M-Sgt. Homer F. Carsley, stationed at Anderson AFB, Guam; a step-son, Fred Carsley of Newport; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ethel Fortier and Dr. Elsie M. Carsley, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., a sister; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
