Obituary	MRS. BLANCHE H. BURBANK Funeral services were held Thursday, March 8, at the Smith Funeral Home at Gardner, Mass., for Mrs. Blanche H. Burbank, 90, of Gardner. The widow of Daniel N. Burbank, she was a native of Dexter. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton, Mass. She was born at Dexter, October 16, 1871, daughter of Frank and Annie (Chase) Holt. Mrs. Burbank died in the Open Arms Rest Home at Winchendon after a long illness. Her husband, who died several years ago, was a well-known band master. She retired five years ago after having been manager of the Goodnow Pearson Millinery and Gift Departments for 55 years. She was a member of the Congregational Church; a past noble grand of the Rebekahs; a member of Jesamine Chapter, Eastern Star; and the Chester Social Club. Several years ago she was accorded the "Woman of the Year" award by the Gardner Quota Club. Surviving are a son, Scott W. Burbank, of Gardner, Mass., and a niece, Mrs. Bernice Wood, of Kentucky.
