Obituary	EARL GREELEY Earl Greeley, 68, passed away Monday at a Bangor Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Harvey Funeral Home, Guilford, Wednesday with the Rev. Manfred Carter pastor of the Guilford Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will be at Guilford to await spring burial in the Brown Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Born Nov. 1, 1893, he was the son of Frederick and Susie (Genthner Greeley of Guilford where his boyhood was spent. In his earlier years, Mr. Greeley was a well-known band man, having played in bands since 1910 when he joined the Woodmen's band in Guilford. Later he moved to Derby where he played in the shop band. He also played in Dover-Foxcroft Band, studying music for six years under Joe Taylor, a well-known leader. When Mr. Greeley moved to Sangerville, he joined Guilford Community Band. He composed several stirring march and waltz numbers played by the band at their concerts. He was a section hand on the B & A Railroad for several years, and had also been a woolen mill employee. He was a veteran of World War I and also served on the Mexican Border. He is survived by two sons, Frederick of Dexter, and Murray of Chicago. There are eleven grandchildren.
