Obituary	MRS. CORA A. JEWETT Funeral services for Mrs. Cora A. Jewett, 77, widow of Gilman Jewett, who died Sunday afternoon at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a short illness, were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, Dexter. The Rev. Walter B. Wakeman officiated. Bearers were: Laughton Jewett, Lawrence Jewett, Clifford Overlock, Eugene Byers and Colby Tapley, all of Hermon and Jeffrey Jewett of Dexter. Burial will take place next spring at Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley. Mrs. Jewett was born at Corinna, March 25, 1894, daughter of Preston and Ella Knowles. All of her married life was spent at Ripley, but eight years ago she came to Dexter to live with her son, Clyde P. Jewett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dexter, and a Golden Sheaf member of Dexter Grange. Survivors are another son, Clayton Jewett of Hermon; a brother, George H. Knowles of Auburn; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews. A daughter, Mrs. Hazel Black is deceased.
