Obituary
EUGENE P. FROST Eugene P. Frost, 79, was found dead in his small home on Maple st., where he lived alone, about 5: 15 p. m. Monday by a neighbor. Albert Clukey, who lives across the street, decided to go over to the Frost home as he had not seen the aged man about for two or three days, and found him dead in the living room. Clukey notified Dr. H. Lewis Taylor, medical examiner, who summoned Deputy Sheriff Raymond Poulin, Sr., of Dexter. Deputy Poulin notified Deputy Albert W. Parlee of Bangor, Chief of Police Harold B. Knox and Police Officer John Prescott. According to Dr. Taylor, Frost died of a self-inflicted chest wound from a P 38 pistol and had been dead at least two days. The case is still under investigation. He was born May 5, 1882, at Levant, son of Thomas and Elmira Frost. A resident of Dexter for many years, at one time he was employed by the state on construction work and during World War 1 was employed at the Fay and Scott Machine Company. There are no known survivors. Funeral services were held this afternoon, Thursday, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter. The Rev. Walter B. Wakeman of the First Baptist Church officiated and interment was in the Corinna Center Cemetery.
