Obituary
FRANK L. PULLEN Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Frank L. Pullen, 70, who died Thursday morning at his home on the Spooner's Mills rd. after a long period of failing health. The Rev. E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church officiated. Bearers were: Newell Fern, Lester Wyman, Edward Bennett, all of Dexter, and Frederick Olson of Garland. Interment was in the West Garland Cemetery. Mr. Pullen was born at Holden, Mass., July 29, 1891, the son of Albert 0. and Jennie May Condon. At the age of 21 months, following the death of his mother, he came to East Dexter to live with his uncle and aunt, the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Pullen. The greater part of his life he was engaged in farming until failing health forced him to retire at the age of 65 years. He was a 50-year member of Dexter Grange. Surviving are his widow, Ina (Sawtelle) Pullen; two sons, Everett S. and Frank, Wendell; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Sawtelle, and four grandsons, all of Dexter; his stepmother, Mrs. Mabel Condon of West Boylston, Mass.
