Obituary
HARRY B. SPENCER Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, May 17, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Harry B. Spencer, 73, who died Saturday night at his home at Ripley. The Rev. Herman Grove of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was at Main Stream Cemetery, Ripley. He was born at Springfield, April 22, 1888, son of Bartlett and Alice (White) Spencer and was one of nine children. He was the husband of Lillian Forbus. He was employed for many years at the Bath Iron Works, and had also worked as a chef. A veteran of World War One, he was a member of Poulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion of Dexter. Survivors besides his widow are three brothers, William and Byron of Orono and Orris of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Southerland of Millinocket, Miss Winnie Spencer and Mrs. Louise Mahar of Springfield; several nephews and nieces.
