Obituary	MRS. MERTIE McINTIRE Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Dexter for Mrs. Mertie Mclntire, 67, widow of George E. McIntire, who died Thursday in a Belfast hospital after a long illness. The Rev. Walter B. Wakeman officiated. Bearers were: Hugh Hutchins, John Knowles, Edward Carter and Harold Alvarez, all of Dexter. Interment will take place later this spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. The Rebekahs attended the service in a body. She was born at Searsport, Dec. 24, 1893, daughter of William E. and Linnie A. (Staples) Closson. Mrs. Mclntire was a resident of Dexter for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, Dexter Grange and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by five sons, Capt. William F. Hamilton of Brooklyn N. Y., Warner C. Hamilton, Edwin J. Hamilton and Raymond W. Hamilton, all of Searsport; and Clarence H. Hamilton of Bangor; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie E. Colcord, Mrs. Hattie E. Perkins and Mrs. Flora L. Closson, all of Searsport; and Mrs. Frances M Conner of Swanville; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
