FRANK WORTHEN Funeral services were held this afternoon, Thursday, at 1, 30 p. m., at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for a former Dexter resident, Frank Worthen, 82, who died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ruth A. Getchell, at West Boxford, Mass., after a long illness. The Rev. Walter B. Wakeman of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial will take place this spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Mr. Worthen was born at Corinna, Dec. 27, 1878, son of H. Quimby and Ellen (Stevens) Worthen. His wife was the late Bertha L. (Wilson) Worthen. He was owner of a sales stable at Dexter for many years. Two years ago he left Guilford, where he had lived for 22 years, and went to Massachusetts to make his home with his daughter. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Charles Getchell, of West Boxford, he is survived by a son, Donald Worthen of El Paso, Texas, a brother Fred Worthen of East Newport, Me., two sisters, Mrs. Flora White of Ayer, Mass., Mrs. Edna Clark of Stetson; two grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
