Dr. Frank Wendel Dies Suddenly Dr. B. Frank Wendel, 72, a practitioner of osteopathy at Dexter for 41 years, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at his Maple st. home. There was a prayer service this afternoon, Thursday, at the Crosby Funeral Home by the Rev. E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Tabor Funeral Home, Oakland, Ill. Interment will be in Oakland Township Cemetery, Ill. Dr. Wendel was born at Brocton, Ill., Dec. 11 1888, son of Jacob and Rachael (Goff) Wendel. He was a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathy and a veteran of World War I. The Wendels came to Dexter 41 years ago from Livermore Falls. He is survived by his widow, Hazel; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Carruthers of Juneau, Alaska; a sister, Mrs. R. N. Ousley of Newman, Ill., a brother, Dr. C. A Wendel of Brocton, Ill., three grandchildren and several nephews.
