JOHN J. CHANDLER John J. Chandler, 82, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home at Zephyrhills, Fla. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, the Rev E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church officiating. He was born at Garland July 26, 1878, son of James and Sarah (Hurd) Chandler. He had been a resident of Dexter most of his life until five years ago when he moved to Florida While at Dexter he was engaged in farming and was for a time a milk dealer He served for several years as sexton of Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. He was a member and deacon of the First Universalist Church of Dexter and a past noble grand of Plymouth Lodge, I. 0. 0. F., Dexter. He was a former member of Dexter Grange and was active in the local Townsend Club. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Hadley Hopkins of Dexter; a son, S. Philip Chandler of Bath; five grandsons; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Charles J. of Dexter; several nieces and nephews.
