Obituary	MRS. BERTHA E. LITTLEFIELD Private funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 27, for Mrs. Bertha E. Littlefield, 74, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul W. Johnson, Dover road. She died unexpectedly early Sunday morning at her home at Silver's Mills following a long period of failing health. The Rev. E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church officiated. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. The bearers were: Errold Cleveland of Bangor, Alden Draper of Hanover, Mass., Percy Bragdon, Chester Strout, Clyde Richards, and Marshall Chandler, all of Dexter. Mrs. Littlefield was born at Ripley, January 17, 1886, daughter of Leslie S. and Cora (Sevey) Strout. She was a Golden Sheaf member of Dexter Grange. Besides her daughter, Althea, she is survived by a son, Paul, of Bangor; a sister, Mrs. Westley Richards, and a brother, Selden Strout, both of Dexter; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A grandson, Kenneth Littlefield now of Weymouth, Mass., had always made his home with his grandmother.
