Obituary	JOHN V. JOHNSON Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Sept. 26, for John V. Johnson, 70, who died unexpectedly last Friday afternoon at his North Dexter home after a long period of failing health. The Rev. Warren Harrnon of the Free Baptist Church officiated. A committal service was held at the Woodland cemetery later that afternoon. He was born at New Sweden, Jan. 28, 1890, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louris Johnson. The survivors are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Johnson of N. Dexter; a son, Oscar, of N. Dexter; seven daughters, Mrs. Mabel Hewett of Caribou, Mrs. Helen Wilson, Sangerville; Miss Carolyn Johnson of N. Dexter; Mrs. Leona Elderkin, Mrs. Kathleen Wilcox, Mrs. Viola Mayhew, Mrs. Cora Farutten, all of Dexter; a brother, Carl Johnson of N. Dexter; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Akerson, Concord, N. H., Mrs. Hulda Dahlin, Skowhegan, Mrs. Edith Dahlgren and Mrs. Mary Anderson, both of Caribou; 27 grandchildren, two great-children, many nieces, and nephews.
